INSPIRATION

"I am especially fascinated by the interaction of the natural world with the manufactured world: The passage of time, the natural landscape, weather, movement of the earth and the changing seasons all bring their forces to bear upon our built environment. As I see them, these forces, or interactions create myriad abstractions and unique, non-objective forms. I also find that I am inspired by the way numbers appear unexpectedly in our cityscape, often as codes, or markings set out by governmental, transportation or telecommunication authorities. As I move through the world that exists outside of my studio, I photograph images that inform my studio practice."
